We now live in a video-centric society. A newsletter or an animated PowerPoint presentation simply isn’t enough to grab someone’s attention. Companies have promotional videos front and centre on their website, use social media as their main messaging platform, and even for training and getting messages to their own employees. The process differs, depending on your project needs, but most productions have a Pre Production, Production, and Post Production phase.
- Pre Production involves first meetings, script writing, storyboarding, and laying out your vision for your video.
- Production is typically what people think of when it comes to video. This is coming to the locations, interviewing subjects, gathering footage, and capturing all the visuals that you will need.
- Post Production is taking all of these elements, editing them together, adding graphics and animation, and other element like music and colour correction to bring your idea to life!
Every good idea needs a plan to bring it to life. The more time we are able to spend discussing your idea, writing scripts, crafting storyboards, scouting locations, and learning more about you, the better the end result will be!
Video Production is just like any other trade. If you have an issue with the electrical in your home or plumbing, you could learn how to fix it yourself, but that will still cost you valuable time and money… and maybe it still won’t be fixed.
